Building Energy Codes
Nevada's statewide energy code for new residential and commercial buildings
is based on the 2003 International Energy Conservation Code. Jurisdictions in
southern Nevada - including Boulder City, Clark County, Henderson, Las Vegas,
Mesquite, and North Las Vegas - have adopted the 2006 Southern Nevada Energy
Code, which is based on the 2006 IECC with local amendments; this code came into
effect on May 1, 2007. Communities in Northern Nevada have also adopted the 2006
